J. Stott & Sons was established in the early 1920`s as a small family
firm, primarily trading in housewares and medicines, from a barrow.
Purchased premises and started the small scale manufacture of overalls, tea aprons and various garments for the workwear trade.
J. Stott & Sons over the last 75 years has expanded the manufacturing
side of the business, which today is managed by the founders Great Grandson
Tony Holt.

The housewares, and medicines business expanded into a sales representative based wholesale supplier of Hardware, Toys, Greetings Cards, Fancy Goods, Stationery, Medicines and Household items, supplying retailers throughout the North West of England.
25 Years ago the wholesale business opened up a Cash & Carry to supply local shops with products at more competitive prices.
2001 saw the launch RechargeOnline
the Electric Bikes site to sell products direct to the public, as the Internet
has become a useful tool for searching and buying conveniently.
2002 saw the launch of LeapFrogShop, a site to sell quality interactive educational
children's products.
2006 saw the launch of FisherPriceShop, selling the excellent range of this well known brand.
2007 saw the launch of Phonicshop, selling the UK versions of the `Hooked on Phonics` children's educational products.
2007 saw the closure of the Wholesale Cash and Carry, due to the decline in small independent shops and post offices.
It is possible to buy products similar to ours at many outlets, but we offer
a more dedicated service specialising in these products.
J. Stott & Sons have been members of the The Forward Group, The Lion Group
of Wholesalers and the Premier Group.
We are a totally independent family business.
J. Stott & Sons today employs a minimum of 25 people, manufacturing to a high standard.
